Habitat: At edge of trail in standing water of black ash swamp. Open canopy 35-50% cover; Crowns 10-20 m tall; DBH 10-35 cm. Herbaceous layer dominated by Carex lacustris and Alnus rugosa incana. Calla palustris, Campanula aparinoides, Equisetum fluviatile, Aster pubentior, Aster puniceus, Polygonum sagittatum.
