Habitat: At edge of sedge meadow (Carex cf. stricta) bordering heavily grazed sand prairie. Forbs diverse: Potentilla simplex, Fragaria virginiana, Lobelia spicata, Krigia biflora, Phlox pilosa, Geum aleppicum, Rudbeckia hirta common; also Gentiana andrewsii, Veronicastrum virginicum, Sisyrinchium campestre, Luzula multiflora, Lysimachia quadrifolia, Saxifraga pensylvanica, et al., with some Poa pratensis, Agrostis stolonifera, and Phleum.
