Habitat: On downstream end of small island ... on fairly large sandbar, exposed by typical, low, late summer flow. In sand, 1-3 feet above current river level. Associated species include Eragrostis hypnoides, Panicum philadelphicum, Cyperus squarrosus, C. odoratus, C. diandrus, Lipocarpha micrantha, Chenopodium rubrum, C. glaucum, Mollugo verticillata, Amaranthus tuberculatus, Euphorbia glyptosperma, Plantago major, Portulaca oleracea, Polygonum lapathifolium, Lindernia dubia, Acalypha rhomboidea.
