Habitat: small wetland basin in fairly rugged forested moraine ... in brushy outer portion of 5-acre poor fen basin ... Substrate is slightly quaky peat. Continuous Sphagnum moss carpet. Partial shade of Alnus incana, Betula pumila, immature Betula papyrifera and Acer rubrum. Associates include Chamaedaphne calyculata, Spiraea tomentosa, Andromeda glaucophylla, Salix pedicellaris, Thelypteris palustris, Dryopteris cristata, Lycopus uniflorus, Campanula aparinoides, Potentilla palustris, Sagittaria latifolia, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Carex chordorrhiza, C. lacustris.
Description: Local. Several dozen plants. Florocanes arching to reclining with abundant, sweet fruits. Primocanes erect to archig, to 30 inches long.
