Habitat: On the Bemidji Sand Plain LTA, long, narrow basin...in black spruce dominated swamp closely resembling a bog; running SW-NE, surrounding a small center of open water. Swamp is not a floating mat. Ground cover is heavily dominated by Ledum groenlandicum and Chamaedaphne calyculata. Other associates include Andromeda glaucophylla, Sarracenia purpurea, Drosera rotundifolia, Smilacina trifolia, Eriophorum chamissonis, Menyanthes trifoliata.
