Habitat: Rather strongly-rolling forested moraine. In wet meadow in narrow depressional wetland dominated by Carex lacustris, C. utriculata, and Calamagrostis canadensis. Shallow organic layer over loamy sand; often in shallow water. Full sunlight. Associates include: Petasites sagittatus, Campanula aparinoides, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Rumex orbiculatus, Galium obtusum, Scutellaria galericulata, Aster puniceus, Spiraea alba, Salix petiolaris.
