Habitat: In poor fen in large poor fen/poor conifer swamp complex. In wet hollows and pools among Sphagnum hummocks. Associates: scattered Thuja occidentalis, Picea mariana, Alnus incana and Betula papyrifera on hummocks; Carex chordorhizza, Salix pedicellaris, Myrica gale.
