Habitat: Mesic deciduous forest on an E-facing bluff. Forest dominated by Quercus rubra and Tilia americana. In mesic sandy loam. Associated with Ostrya virginiana, Betula papyrifera, Acer saccharum, Amelanchier interior.
Description: Infrequent. A large shrub with 3 stems, the largest stem 2.5 m tall, 2 cm basal dia. Bark gray, smooth; ovaries glabrous; leaves bronze-tinged. From same stem as #27964.
