Habitat: In what appears to be disturbed former prairie pasture or prairie hay meadow. It is associatd with Asclepias syriaca, Helianthus nuttallii and Poa pratensis. The soil at the collection site is mapped as Divide-Marysland loam, 0 to 2 percent slopes (Dm). Divide loam is an Aeric Calciaquoll and Marysland loam is a Typic Calciaquoll.
