Habitat: Growing in an open saline prairie. This area has had very little anthopogenic manipulation and appears to have an intact flora. Associate species include Liatris pycnostachya, Deschampsia cespitosa, Potentilla anserina, Solidago canadensis, Solidago nemoralis, and Symphyotrichum ericoides.
