About 2 m above base of NW-facing aspect of large metavolcanic outcrop/cliff feature. From fern/moss matt on small ledge. Associates in vicinity: Woodsia ilvensis, Fragaria virginiana, Polypodium virginiana, Heuchera richardsoni, Dryopteris fragrans, Campanula rotundifolia.
