Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Superior National Forest. Approximately 9.22 miles WNW of Isabella, MN and 0.22 miles east of the Northwest Road (FR 373).

Habitat: Lower, small shelves and vertical/horizontal seams of rock outcrop's NW-facing cliff face with Vaccinium angustifolium, Polytrichum sp., assorted lichen, etc. Various tufts of Huperzia "selago" types, Lycopodium dendroideum and L. annotinum nearby.
Associated Species: P. strobus, Betula papyrifera, Abies balsamea, Picea mariana, Salix humilis, Vaccinium agustifolium, Rubus idaeus, Aralia hispida, Gymnocarpium dryopteris, Carex tonsa var. rugosperma, etc.
Notes: LBG-Good spores.
