United States, Minnesota, Lake, Superior National Forest. Approximately 9.22 miles WNW of Isabella, MN and 0.22 miles east of the Northwest Road (FR 373).

Habitat:
Lower, small shelves and vertical/horizontal seams of rock outcrop's NW-facing cliff face with Vaccinium angustifolium, Polytrichum sp., assorted lichen, etc. Various tufts of Huperzia "selago" types, Lycopodium dendroideum and L. annotinum nearby.
Associated Species:
Diervilla lonicera, Maianthemum candense, Eurybia macrophylla, Clintonia borealis, Aralia nudicaulis, Pteridium aquilinum, Pleurozium schreberi, etc.
Notes:
Good spores; Sent to Preston (MICH) on NOV2008.
