Habitat: Recently expanded and disturbed gravel pit with Rubus idaeus, Geranium bicknellli, Cirsium arvense, Leucanthemum vulgare, Carex houghtoniana, C. adusta, etc. Plants of various sizes scattered at several locations in pit. Corolla white; full bloom.
Associated Species: Thuja occidentalis, Abies balsamea, Rhamnus alnifolia, Cirsium muticum, Cypripedium reginae, Clintonia borealis, Equisetum arvense, Carex leptalea, etc.
