Habitat: Occasional in white cedar swamp portion of large peatland complex. Among shady hummocks with small depressions/seasonal pools.
Associated Species: Associates include Carex leptalea, C. trisperma, C magellanicum, Orthilia secunda, Platanthera obtusata, Mitella nuda, Maianthemum trifolium, Linnea borealis, Cornus canadensis, Petasites frigidus, Rhamnus ulnifolia, Salix discolor, Gaultheria hispidula, Rhododendron groenlandicum, Vaccinium oxycoccos, Picea mariana, Abies balsamea, Cypripedium reginae, C. parviflorum, Goodyera repens.
