Habitat:
Local on the south bank of the creek. Several small trees on an alluvial terrace. Partial shade beneath sparse canopy of Fraxinus nigra and Betula papyrifera. Dark, rocky, mesic sandy-loam substrate. Understory trees, to ~18 feet tall, and 2+ inches D.B.H.
