tree fern, to 15.32 m in height, DBH 25.1 cm, trunk height to foliage 11.6 m, crown height 3.72 m, crown width 4.36 m; foliage 5 kg mature wet mass; outer bark rough; bark black; cambium black; wood orange; exudate absent; DNA preserved in silica, from felled plot. Local name: kodilom Local use: timber for house and shed construction; leaves are edible and used as cushions
