Habitat: Local on the mid- to upper portion of a 60-foot, south-facing basalt cliff, on the inner portion of small shoreline cove. Small dense patches, in thin soil on narrow ledges. Full sun to partial shade of Alnus viridis and Sorbus decora.
Associated Species: Associates include Poa glauca, Aquilegia canadensis, Campanula rotundifolia, Prenanthes alba, Sonchus asper, Diervilla lonicera, Cornus stolonifera.
