Locality: United States, Minnesota, St. Louis, Access from CR-180 towards Black Duck Lake. Specimen is located on old railroad grade converted to hunting trail, SFR 700. Orr is the nearest town 19 km to the south.

Elevation: 399 meters (1309ft)
Habitat: Occurring on an old railroad grade that parallels the Black Duck River. Specifically growing on the trail's crown on gravelly substrate. Partial shade cast by young Fraxinus nigra on uphill side to the east. Species associates include Agrimonia striata, Phleum pratense, Rubus idaeus subsp. strigosus, Lycopus uniflorus, Scirpus atrovirens, and Alnus incana subsp. rugosa.
Description: Purple corolla.
