Habitat:
Scattered throughout poor fen, mostly on north side of bog pond. Scattered stunted Picea mariana and Larix laricina. Mat dominated by low hummocks of Sphagnum angustifolium near lake.

Other associates include Carex lasiocarpa, Potentilla palustris, Menyanthes trifoliata, Scheuchzeria palustris, Carex chordorrhiza, Vaccinium oxycoccos, Kalmia polifolia, Sarracenia purpurea.
