Habitat: Growing in the northeast portion of Big Birch Lake (ID 77008400), a 2,100 acre basin situated in the Hardwood Hills Subsection. Near a public water access. Locally common. Seemingly sparse lakewide. Submerged in 0.3 meters of water.
Substrate: Sand-silt substrate.
Associated Species: Associated with Heteranthera dubia, Ceratophyllum demersum.
