Habitat: Found near the western shoreline of Beaver Lake (ID 62001600), a 85 acre shallow, eutrophic basin situated in the St. Paul-Baldwin Plains Ecological Subsection. Good water clarity. Filamentous algae common. Individuals locally sparse, floating on the surface of the water. Additional plants observed in greater abundance near the northern shoreline.
Substrate: Gravel substrate.
Associated Species: Associates include Wolffia borealis, W. columbiana, Spirodela polyrrhiza, Lemna trisulca, L. turionifera, Nymphaea odorata subsp. tuberosa, Ceratophyllum demersum, Elodea canadensis.
Description: Dorsal papilla prominent.
