Habitat: Found near the northwest shoreline of McCarron Lake (ID 62005400), a 75 acre mesotrophic basin situated in the St. Paul-Baldwin Plains Ecological Subsection. Water clarity high. Individuals locally abundant, floating on the surface of the water.
Substrate: Sand-silt substrate.
Associated Species: Associates include Wolffia borealis, W. columbiana, Spirodela polyrrhiza, Lemna turionifera, Nymphaea odorata subsp. tuberosa, Ceratophyllum demersum, Typha angustifolia.
Description: Dorsal papilla prominent.
