Habitat: Found near the southeast shoreline of Island Lake's southern basin. Island Lake (ID 62007500) is a 60 acre shallow, eutrophic lake situated in the St. Paul-Baldwin Plains Ecological Subsection. Moderate to poor water clarity with a blue-green color. Filamentous algae observed on matted submerged vegetation. Individuals locally common in a sheltered area. Floating on the surface of the water and accumulating near a Typha angustifolia stand. Additional plants observed in the southwest bay.
Substrate: Detritus substrate.
Associated Species: Other associates include Wolffia borealis, W. columbiana, Spirodela polyrrhiza, Lemna turionifera, Ceratophyllum demersum.
Description: Dorsal papilla prominent.
