Locality: United States, Minnesota, Beltrami, Beltrami Island State Forest. 2 miles north of Beltrami County Rd 704; 19 miles northeast of Grygla.

Habitat: Recently cleared area in and adjacent to old growth Pinus strobus stand. Area cleared due to recent fire in order to create a firebreak. Several invasives are now present. Area is also adjacent to a wetter forest, so species diversity is varied.
Substrate: Soils are sandy.
Associated Species: Associates include Pinus strobus, Populus tremuloides, Abies balsamea, Erigeron glabellus, Chenopodium capitatum, Diervilla lonicera, Cornus canadensis, Viburnum rafinesquianum, Apocynum androsaemifolium.
