Habitat: Local, occasional on the margin of a beaver-altered poor fen in a small (~50-acre) peatland. Small loose clumps, in wetter spots along previously flooded beaver runs (shallow beaver-excavated channels). This area recovering from flooding; dam failure occurred ~10-20 years ago. Full sun. Wet peat.
Associated Species: Associates include Eriophorum tenellum, Carex stricta, C. utriculata, Dulichium arundinaceum, Glyceria canadensis, Iris versicolor, Lysimachia terrestris, Drosera rotundifolia, Menyanthes trifoliata.
