Locality: United States, Minnesota, Fillmore, Along a major tributary valley of Shattuck Creek, one mile west of Choice, eight miles south of Peterson.

Habitat: Occasional to frequent along the lower portion of steep, 200-foot, northeast-facing bluffs and on the narrow valley floor. Mature, rich mesic hardwood forest dominated by Tilia americana, Ulmus americana, and Acer saccharum. Understory includes Ulmus americana, Carpinus caroliniana, Acer saccharum, and Ostrya virginiana. Rich silty soil.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Carex albursina, C. blanda, C. jamesii, Erythronium albidum, Hydrophyllum virginianum, H. appendiculatum, Sanguinaria canadensis, Laportea canadensis, Isopyrum biternatum, Galium aparine, Circaea lutetiana, Cystopteris protrusa.
