Habitat: Local and uncommon in dry sand prairie in dunes of Glacial Lake Agassiz. Prairie dominated by Schizachyrium scoparium, Calamovilfa longifolia, Carex siccata, Koeleria macrantha, Carex inops, Poa pratensis.
Substrate: Sand.
Associated Species: Associated species: Selaginella rupestris, Antennaria parvifolia, Solidago nemoralis, Ambrosia psilostachya, Dalea villosa, Oenothera nuttallii, bryophytes.
