The repatriation was supported by the Minnesota State Legislature through a 2023 Legislative-Citizens Commission on Minnesota Resources' Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund appropriation. Some specimens may be duplicates of those held by in-state institutions and hosted on the Minnesota Biodiversity Atlas. iDigBio unique identifier fields lacking Symbiota equivalents can be found in dynamic properties.
