Habitat: Fairly large forested wetland complex...in rich conifer swamp. Canopy dominated by Picea mariana, with occasional Abies balsamea, Larix laricina, and Fraxinus nigra. Understory of Abies balsamea and Fraxinus nigra. Deep peat. Associates include Carex leptalea, C. disperma, C. interior, C. gynocrates, C. vaginata, Amerorchis rotundifolia, Listera cordata, Mitella nuda, Platanthera obtusata, Cypripedium reginae, Coptis groenlandica, Linnaea borealis, Cornus canadensis, Rubus pubescens, Circaea alpina, Smilacina trifoliata, Ribes triste...in a small canopy opening.
