Habitat: in several acre poor fen, sedge subtype, of large wetlands complex. Part of Carex spp. and Rhynchospora alba dominated zone. In continuous cover of saturated Sphagnum with Carex aquatilus, Scheuchzeria palustris, Sarracenis, Scirpus cespitosus. Rest of wetland in primarily Picea mariana bog type. Fen is less wet and firmer at edges, and located within 40m of upland.
