Tiny (~1/3-acre), degraded, dry-mesic prairie / savanna remnants dominated by Andropogon gerardii ... dry sandy-gravel soil. Full sun. Additional associates include Poa pratensis, Schizachrium [sic] scoparium, Carex pellita, Allium stellatum, Apocynum androsaemifolium, Petalostemum purpureum, P. candidum, Lithospermum canescens, Physalis virginiana, Carduus acanthoides, Symphoricarpos occidentalis, Rubus frondosus, Toxicodendron rydbergii.
