In deep, narrow, steep-sided canyon along fault line ... in wet organic soil forming mudflat on margin of beaver pond. Full sun. Associates include Glyceria grandis, Sparganium chlorocarpum, Equisetum sylvaticum, Alopecurus aequalis. Some plants in areas where vegetation has been cropped by wildlife just above ground level.
