lower portion of 40- to 70-foot, north to northeast-facing, mesic diabase cliff which forms upper portion of steep, 220-foot slope above small rapids in the river. Shaded by Thuja occidentalis, Sorbus decora, Alnus viridis, Betula cordifolia, and Acer spicatum. In thin, often moss-covered soil on lower ledges.
