Habitat: Eight acre kettle-hole bog (poor fen) in steeply-rolling terrain; in Sphagnum on floating mat. Full sun to partial shade of scattered Larix laricina. Associates include Carex chordorrhiza, C. limosa, Dulichium arundinaceum, Eriophorum angustifolium, Thelypteris palustris, Pogonia ophioglossoides, Scheuchzeria palustris, Drosera rotundifolia, Andromeda glaucophylla, Vaccinium macrocarpon.
