Habitat: small wetland in rolling bedrock terrrain ... Shallow, half-acre depression surrounded by paper birch forest along primitive portage trail ... Full sun to partial shade of Acer rubrum and Fraxinus nigra on wetland margin. In zone surrounding open water. Mucky substrate with frequent small boulders. Associated species include Carex arcta, C. vesicaria, Alopecurus aequalis, Veronica scutellata, Sium suave, Galium tinctorium.
