Habitat: Large wetland complex bounded by eskers in rolling moraine ... in poor fen dominated by Carex lasiocarpa on west end of boggy ten-acre lake ... Moist, deep peat (much drier, >12 inches lower water level, than previous year at this time due to extended drought). Continuous Sphagnum spp. moss carpet. Full sun. Additional associates include Carex limosa, C. chordorrhiza, Dulichium arundinaceum, Scheuchzeria palustris, Sarracenia purpurea, Vaccinium oxycoccus, Betula glandlifera, Andromeda glaucophylla, Chamaedaphne calyculata ... ~60 feet from lake; some with Utricularia intermedia in wet peat along wildlife trail.
