small, abandoned gravel/borrow pit ... Smalll patches in moist, often moss-covered, gravelly-clay. Full sun to partial shade of Alnus incana. Associates include Juncus alpinoarticulatus, Glyceria striata, Carex flava, Rhynchospora fusca, Scirpus atrovirens, Eleocharis nitida, Habenaria hyperborea.
