Habitat: On large sand bar on downstream end of the island. Substrate varies from silt to sand to gravel. Full sun. Associated species include Cyperus squarrosus, C. diandrus, Eleocharis acicularis, E. intermedia, Eragrostis hypnoides, Lipocarpha micrantha, Panicum philadelphicum, Lindernia dubia, Ludwigia palustris, Polygonum lapathifolium, Gnaphalium uliginosum, Mollugo verticillata, Amaranthus tuberculatus, Plantago major.
