Habitat: Poor fen in shallow isolated depression surrounded by dry-mesic hardwood forest on north, west and east sides and by gravel road on south side. Growing on floating Sphagnum mat with Carex lasiocarpa, Triadenum fraseri, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Sagittaria latifolia.
