Strongly-rolling forested moraine ... undeveloped north shore ... rather dry loamy-sand at base of steep, 40-foot, south-facing slope, just inland from the water's edge. Partial shade beneath Betula papyrifera and Quercus ellipsoidalis. Associated species include Phalaris arundinacea, Allium stellatum, Asclepias syriaca, Lycopus americanus, Solidago hispida, Amphicarpaea bracteata, Campanula rotundifolia, Amorpha canescens.
