Strongly-rolling forested moraine ... margin of small vernal wetland in fairly extensive patch of mesic oak forest ... Shaded locally beneath Ulmus americana and Fraxinus nigra. Open understory and shrub layer. Moist organic sandy-loam. Associated species include Calamagrostis canadensis, Poa palustris, Stellaria longifolia, Urtica dioica, Rosa sp., and seedlings of Fraxinus nigra.
