Habitat: Rolling forested terrain of the Two Inlets moraine ... in very small (<1/8-acre) vernal wetland ... In partial shade of Populus tremuloides which dominated the surrounding young (~20-year old) aspen forest. Moist mucky substrate in shallow basin that held 2-3 feet of water earlier in the year. Associated species include Cardamine pensylvanica, Sium suave, Veronica scutellata, Galium obtusum, Ranunculus pensylvanicus, Carex vesicaria.
