Habitat:
Lower to mid portion of very steep, 200-foot, north-facing bluff along the [river]...on moist, mossy, algific limestone talus. Partially shaded by Pinus strobus, Betula allegheniensis, and Tilia americana. Associated species include Cystopteris bulbifera, C. tenuis, Cryptogramma stelleri, Impatiens pallida, Aquilegia canadensis, Arabis shortii, Circaea alpina, Adoxa moschatellina, Chrysosplenium iowense, Mitella diphylla, Saxifraga pennsylvanica, Carex peckii, C. deweyana, Rhamnus alnifolia, Ribes hudsonianum, Lonicera dioica.
