Habitat: Rolling terrain ... very wet zone of rich sedge fen between a small pond (~2-acres) and the surrounding poor tamarack swamp ... habitat dominated by Carex lasiocarpa. Rooted in very quaky moss-covered peat. In shallow water and somewhat emergent with "floating" leaves laying on moss carpets above the water level. Full sun. Additional associates include Carex aquatilis, Sparganium natans, Sagittaria latifolia, Utricularia minor, U. intermedia, Thelypteris palustris, Drosera rotundifolia, Typha x glauca.
