Habitat: on fairly steep, 30-foot, west-facing slope, immediately above the river just downstream from [bridge] ... heavily grazed cattle pasture. Coarse sand and gravel substrate. Full sun to partial shade. Associated species include Poa compressa, Verbascum thapsus, Centaurea biebersteinii, Equisetum hyemale, Artemisia campestris ssp. caudata, Euphorbia esula, E. glyptosperma.
