Habitat: in moist soil in small seepage swamp along base of 230ft, north-facing slope; Open canopy composed of Fraxinus nigra, Quercus macrocarpa, Q. alba & Acer saccharum. Associates include Carex stipata, C. radiata, C. hysteracina, C.laevivaginata, C. interior, C. granularis, Glyceria striata, Equisetum arvense, E. pratense, E. hyemale, Galium asprellum, Caltha palustris, Campanula aparinoides.
