Habitat: Rather strongly-rolling terrain of the Two Inlets moraine ... tamarack swamp surrounding a small (~4-acre), boggy lake. Full sun to full shade of Larix laricina. On tall hummocks (18-24 inches high), especially around tree bases. Deep peat. Associated species include Lycopus uniflorus, Parnassia palustris, Thelypteris palustris, Campanula aparinoides, Carex lasiocarpa, C. prairie, C. leptalea, Agrostis scabra, Leersia oryzoides, Thamnus alnifolia.
