Habitat: Rugged terrain ... in mossy groundwater seep on upper portion of 200-foot east-facing slope. Seep loacated on gradual slope near the head of ravine whick just downslope becomes a narrow gorge cutting into andesitic/rhyolitic bedrock on extremely steep slope of the ridge above the river. Under canopy of old-growth northern hardwood forest dominated by Acer saccharum, with occasional Thuja occidentalis & Betula allegheniensis.
