Habitat: Very open and brushy (likely cut) with widely scattered Fraxinus nigra, Thuja occidentalis, Populus balsamifera and Picea mariana. Abundant Alnus incana, Rhamnus alnifolia, Rubus pubescens with Osmunda claytoniana, Carex leptalea, etc.
